Harley Wood Winter School:

Adventures in Survey Science!

3-5 July 2009

Welcome to the Harley Wood 2009 Website

The Harley Wood Winter School (HWWS) is an annual event that aims to bring together honours and postgraduate students with Australian and international experts in astronomy and astrophysics. The school consists of a number of lectures, workshops and informal discussions allowing students to hear a wide range of perspectives on a specific field. This year's HWWS will bring together approximately fifteen astronomers and astrophysicists to discuss many aspects of Survey Science.

The school takes place immediately before the Annual Scientific Meeting of the Astronomical Society of Australia, being held this year at the University of Melbourne, from Friday 3 July to Sunday 5 July. The 2009 HWWS is being held at the almost beachside Geelong Conference Centre, 45 minutes from Melbourne.
